Thank you for choosing RU Dining Catering for your catered event needs. We look forward to being a part of your event. The following information will be helpful in planning your function:
RU Dining Catering will need a minimum of three (3) working days in order to properly prepare for your event. For parties of 50 or more, five (5) working days will be needed. Less than this amount of time will be subject to our availability, may require alterations to your desired menu and will incur a $25 Rush Fee. Please contact RU Dining Catering immediately after booking your room to make your arrangements. The earlier, the better when it comes to booking your event.Our office hours are Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm. Messages left outside of these hours will be answered the next working day. Events will not be considered booked until we have had verbal or email confirmation with the client.We can be reached at (770) 720-5611 or ma4032@metzcorp.com.
Please coordinate room reservations and set-up prior to contacting RU Dining Catering prior to planning your event with us. Rooms on Reinhardt University’s Waleska campus are coordinated through Karen Kitchens. (770) 720-5538 orsk@reinhardt.edu. If you have contracted our services off-campus, we will need a contact name and contact information for the venue in order to coordinate service.
Please let us know in advance so that we may prepare meals for those guests with special or restricted diets.
Food remaining at the end of an event remains the property of RU Dining. Non-perishable items (cookies, brownies, pretzels or similar) may be packaged up for the client to take with if arrangements are made prior to the event. All other food will be discarded at the conclusion of the event. RU Dining Catering cannot guarantee the safety of leftover foods once they leave the event facility and therefore will not be allowed to leave the premises with the client nor with any guests.
We will need a guaranteed person count seventy-two (72) hours prior to your event. You will be responsible for the full cost of the actual number that service was provided for. A budgeted figure will assist us in organizing your event.
In the early stages of planning your event, a rough head-count will be enough to work with. As the event date draws nearer, we will need a firm head-count. We will need a guaranteed head-count seventy-two (72) hours (3 days) prior to your event.
Flowers, linen and china service are available by request and at an additional charge. Please be sure to ask for pricing and availability when you book your event.
RU Dining does not assume nor accept any responsibility for damages due to the negligence of the client or the client’s guests. Missing or damaged RU Dining Catering property will be billed to the client at replacement value. Similarly, drop off catering supplies must be returned within forty-eight (48) hours of the event; missing or damaged RU Dining Catering property will be billed to the client at replacement value.
For our Reinhardt University customers, University billing account numbers must be provided during the booking process. Billing will be done once a week, typically Tuesday, for the prior Sunday – Saturday. For our Non-University customers, 50% payment is due immediately following the booking of your event. The balance of your invoice will be due the day of your event. We will accept personal or business checks as well as MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. If your organization is tax exempt, we will require a copy of your tax-exempt certificate with your first order. Gratuities are not required nor are they automatically added to your invoice. If you desire to add a gratuity for our staff, please notify us ahead of time.
Non-University customers will be subject to a 10% service charge on each event booked with RU Dining Catering. This charge is not passed along to the staff, it is for processing of payments and to cover the administrative overhead associated with Non-University events. Service Charges will be waived for any orders picked up by the client.
Events being held on campus will not incur a delivery fee. Off campus events will be billed a delivery fee based on the following schedule:
RU Dining Catering does it’s best to keep the prices listed online up to date. From time to time, prices may need to be adjusted due to market fluctuation. All prices are subject to change without notice. RU Dining Catering reserves the right to make substitutions when necessary to meet market conditions.
Our menu items are priced based on a two (2) hour service window. If your event requires longer than a two (2) hour service window, additional charges may be necessary. Additional hours of service will be $20 per server, per hour. Set-up and breakdown time will not be included in the event service time calculation.
Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, eggs or unpasteurized milk may increase your risk of food borne illness.
